Active Fight Rules & Meta-Gaming
Fight Rules
There are a few rules for fights that need to be mentioned dealing with the way the site works.
1. If you are in a fight then your character must remain in the city or area where the fight started. Leaving the area while an active fight thread is open is forfeiting the fight, and if your opponent chooses to kill you then your character is legally dead. This includes wanting to do side role play's elsewhere while waiting for your opponent to post.
Side-note: You are allowed to do side threads/role plays while in a fight so long as it is in the city or area that your fight is in.
2. Unless a postpone is agreed upon by both parties, any fight where someone has been absent from posting for two days (48 hrs) or more will automatically lose. This means that if it's your post in a fight and you wait two days or more to post, then your character automatically loses. This includes if someone is having to wait for you to fix your post before they can post, if it takes more than two days for you to fix your post then you forfeit, and if your opponent chooses to kill you, your character is legally dead. Staff can step in at any time to hand down a ruling, especially in the case of people purposely stalling and dragging out the 2 day rule.
3. You cannot add/change/remove items or abilities after a fight/thread has already started. Doing so is considered meta-gaming and an automatic loss for your character.
4. Everything you do in a fight must be spoilered. This includes any sort of speed boosts, strength boosts, extra senses, weapons, ect. If your character is doing it then you must spoiler it. If it's not spoilered then it is voided. It is NOT your opponents responsibility to have to search through your profile, item list and ability list to search for what you're doing.
5. If you did not put it, it did not happen. It's as simple as that. There are no assumptions, even if it's an active or inactive ability it MUST be placed into a spoiler or else it's voided in your post.
Meta-Gaming
Here is a list of rules that deal in and around meta-gaming, since it is about the only illegal thing you can do when dealing with T1 style.
1. You are NOT allowed to take real life information and apply it in Role Play. This includes knowing that someone has done something to someone else's character in RP without that character actually having been told IC.
Side-note: For those with characters who have psychic abilities that allow you to know knowledge outside of being told directly you must RP learning this knowledge, you cannot just automatically go into a thread knowing it.
2. Assuming. Assuming will get you into trouble, and is not a good enough excuse as to why your character knows something that they otherwise wouldn't. So just know that this excuse doesn't fly.
3. Once a fight has begun abilities/items cannot be altered until that thread has ended, and your character is still alive, of course.
Because meta-gaming is about the only illegal thing in T1 combat that you can do, it is punished in a more severe way. Knowingly entering into a battle and attempting to change/add moves after the thread has started will result in the instant death of your character (beyond being able to be brought back, no soul, no body, no memories, you are entirely erased and your character will be uncolored and you will have to start over).
Taking outside information into the RP knowingly will result in a warning, 3 day suspension from the site, doing so again will result in your characters death (see above for details).
Dragon Ball is a violent series. There are plenty of reasons to get into a fight with someone. Do not start incidents in the chatbox and take it in character. Violation of this rule will result in bans, or your character's death (see above). This is not a matter up for debate.
Please consider yourselves warned. This thread is here for everyone to look at. Excuses such as "I didn't see it" will not stop the punishment from sticking.
